Food and Health




For four years, I have worked for urban farms in Los Angeles and Orange County as a hands-on field worker and more recently production manager. I have contributed to soil farms, hydroponic farms, and aquaponic farms growing more than 100 different fruits, vegetables, herbs, and wild edible weeds.


As a member of the Los Angeles Mycological Society, I’ve spent three years learning about the science and cultivation of edible mushrooms. I enjoy foraging and identifying wild mushrooms, and I have successfully spawned multiple varieties of mushrooms via log and sawdust methods.


I have apprenticed for private beekeepers, and I’m an active member of HoneyLove, a non-profit organization committed to treatment-free beekeeping in Los Angeles.
